Bonneville I
Götz
Göppert
About this photograph :
Bonneville I
Götz Göppert is fascinated by the world of cars. Bonneville Salt Flats is several hundred kilometres from Salt Lake City. During Speedweek enthusiasts gathered to break speed records. In the centre of the salt desert, the Hot Rods raced on a completely flat track 24 metres wide and 16 km long. These customised cars, dating back to before 1949, break records in front of an audience who had come in their motorhomes expressly for the purpose.
About the artist :
Götz
Göppert
Götz
Göppert was born in Munich in 1969. The photographer is based in Paris,
but he travels around the world in search of ‘unprecedented and unusual’
subjects. He gathers documentation that he compares to a modern cabinet of
curiosities. The photographer succeeds in imbuing all of his works with poetry.
Even the most technical subjects are treated in the artist’s own distinctly
experimental and graceful style.
