24 Little Hours
Sebastian
Julian
About this photograph :
24 Little Hours
On the surface, vertical and horizontal lines which meet and architectural structures which seem to recur endlessly. Bordering on abstraction, the building façades appear regulated by the lines which structure them. The visual effect is reminiscent of Mondrian’s artworks. The uniformity of these home or building façades gives these modern constructions an inhuman aspect. However, in spite of the systematic repetition of the lines and forms, these façades accommodate individuals with miscellaneous destinies. The stories of men and women living and working are evolving in these impersonal towers and building blocks. They exist alongside each other, together or apart. Each is certain of the supremacy of their own existence over their neighbour’s. Behind each one of these windows, from sketch to tragedy, the theatre of life goes on.

over 10 years now Sebastian Julian’s camera has not left his side. Fascinated
